Recently, Leona was involved in the clubhouse renovations at Fleur de Lis Townhomes here in Reno. They have an exceptional clubhouse that many of the residents use on a regular basis. It features a movie room, comfortable sports media lounge, main sitting room, dining room and workout facilities. Leona beat out 3 other bids to update the space. With criteria being price point, functionality and meeting a specific time frame. The project began with the theater that needed to be made more functional for residents. The overall clubhouse has a French Countryside Challet design, so Leona stayed within that existing style, freshening it up using a rich palette of golds and burnt umber with highlights of black and copper. In addition to new furnishings in the sports media room & dining room, she worked with existing pieces, moving things around to create better sitting arrangements & to pull the rooms together with accessories and continuity. Her challenge was to be able to sit 25-28 people comfortably. Since the renovation, there has been a lot of positive feedback from the residents. Next on the renovation list is the ladies locker room. See Below the rooms before and after the renovation.
Theater Room Before
Theater Room After. Notice addition of lit steps to the niches in the back of the room which allow those viewers to see over the tops of those down in front.
Theater Room After. Leona chose comfortable seating that were uniform in size and shape. This gave the room much more continuity, as well as additional seating that would be comfortable for all viewers.
